Experience historical Provence

The area surrounding the lovely medieval village Montauroux, to which the Dior family, among others, has strong historical connections, is complemented with beautiful scenery. But at the same time, the village has a central geographical position for excursions to the Mediterranean Sea and the many picturesque mountain villages in the area. Two of the best golf courses in Provence are also close by.

The lake Lac St. Cassien is right next door! The lake is filled with clean water (fresh water reservoir) and offers many activities such as surfing, canoeing, water cycles and fishing to name a few.

Mountain village of Monteraux

In and around Montauroux and the neighbouring village, Callien, you will find many lovely cafés, restaurants, art and antique shops, sport facilities and so on.

Montauroux rises in tiers of altitudes from 150 m to 400 m. The village has a southern exposure, facing the Esterel massif and the St Cassien Lake. Montauroux is located midway between the sea which is 30 km (19 mi) away and the first ski resort which is 40 km (25 mi), away.
Montauroux benefits from an exceptional amount of sunny days and is visited by tourists in the summer months, many hotels are often fully booked for the summer by mid-April or earlier.
